February 2003 : Sydney
Barrenjoey Lighthouse - Located at the most northern point of the northern beaches. A half hour walk to the summit up a reasonably steep path. Magnificent view looking back, Palm Beach to the left and Pittswater to the right.

Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park - Caught a boat across Pittswater to the park and went in search of some aboriginal carvings. I have never walked up anywhere so steep in my life but an hour later and very hot and sweaty I was rewarded with what I had gone looking for. Decided to walk back to a different beach and encountered the most rugged terrain and pretty much convinced myself that I was lost. Turns out I was a little lost, but a nice man pointed me in the right direction for Great Mackeral Beach and I eventually found my way there, though I did have to retrace some of my track.

Was also treated to another beautiful view of Palm Beach and Pittswater. There was a lesson to be learn here - NEVER go walking in thongs (flip flops to you guys!).

Palm Beach - Or "Summer Bay" from Home & Away as it's probably better known! Beautiful long sandy beach. Paddy enjoyed sitting in the sun, and I felt the need for a sad tourist photo outside the famous "Summer Bay Surf Club".
